There’s something truly special about weddings at Owen House Wedding Barn - one of our favourite venues to design luxury wedding flowers as a Manchester-based wedding florist. Tucked away in the Cheshire countryside, this family-run gem is full of rustic charm, warm hospitality, and so many floral possibilities. It’s always a pleasure to dress, and we’re so excited to share why it’s one of our absolute favourites. The Venue: Countryside Charm with a Creative Edge
Lovingly converted in 2013, Owen House Wedding Barn is a stunning venue nestled in the heart of Cheshire. Offering exclusive use and a unique blend of rustic character and modern style, it’s become one of our favourite places to work our floral magic.
The venue includes a beautiful civil ceremony room, a high-ceilinged barn for the wedding breakfast (seating up to 200 guests), and plenty of charming details that make it a joy for both couples and suppliers.
There’s also a dedicated Beauty Shed for bridal prep and a quirky Baa-BER Shed just for the groom and his party - a fun and practical touch that really sets the tone. For a bit of quiet, there’s even a cosy breakout room hidden away for guests to relax in.
The Shooting Gallery, their on-site photography space, offers a variety of styled backdrops to capture beautiful moments without ever needing to leave the venue.
Add in stylish on-site accommodation - including the wonderfully named ‘Birds and Bees’ suite - a fully stocked bar with craft gins and local ales, and it’s clear why this barn ticks so many boxes for couples planning a relaxed but elegant countryside celebration.
Why We Love Working Here
We always get excited when Owen House is on the cards - it’s a venue that truly lets the flowers shine. That excitement doubles when wedding stylist, Florence & Vera is involved. Her creative eye and styling magic elevate everything we do.
One of our favourite features to dress is the hanging trough lighting above the top table in The Barn. It’s the perfect canvas for a statement floral installation - a floating focal point that adds drama and softness in equal measure and never fails to get compliments.
We also love that the generous space allows for long trestle table configurations, which are ideal for creating beautifully flowing floral tablescapes. Think meadows of seasonal blooms, soft textures, and flickering candlelight winding down the length of the room - elegant, immersive, and packed with personality.
Louise at The Bride Tribe, added: “To me Owen House is like home and they’re my work family. I love the variation of the to die for aesthetic and backdrops the barn provides at every turn. Every style of wedding I’ve shot there suits it. And it’s wonderfully versatile in terms of creating shots in every weather situation due to the hay bale room and shooting gallery providing an outside in feel. Then there’s the peaceful side to it, set within the Cheshire countryside on a working farm, family run. To me it’s perfect.”

The display on top of the trough lighting in the main barn was utterly beautiful. The flowers draping down created the most incredible shadow effect on the white wall behind the top table which so many people commented on.
